Our Story

Munns & Mars was founded by Munira Sarkar in 2020 during the coronavirus pandemic and the first lockdown. The brand was born from her health and body image struggles and was further fuelled by the mission of inspiring women to feel more comfortable and confident and embrace body positivity in their skin. During her health struggle in fighting third stage breast cancer, a blessing in disguise was also born - her daughter Mariam. Whilst undergoing the toughest of chemotherapy treatments, this miracle child was growing in her womb and fighting boldly like her mother. The name of the brand is in her honour ; Munns (Munira) & Mars (Mariam). It reminds Munira to never give up on her dreams and aspirations.
